Beardies should be fed a mix of greens including kale, collards, romaine, and dandelion greens and crickets with a calcium supplement. Make sure to avoid feeding them spinach as the spinach binds with the calcium and can make it difficult to digest.

These animals need UVA/UVB lighting and a heat light you can achieve this by using two separate bulbs or you can use a power sun lamp from zoomed which provides UVA/UVB and heat. (Just make sure your heat lamp is able to support the larger bulb)

Bearded dragons need the hot side of the tank between 85°-110°

There are several types of bedding available for use with beardies including: sand, excavator clay, crushed walnut shell, cage carpet, and parakeet seed (loose millet).

Make sure that your bearded dragon has a place to bask in the heat light such as a large rock or piece of wood. You can also include a hide in the cage so the beardie and “get away” if they were feeling too vulnerable.

It’s a good idea to put a background on the tank to keep you beardie from felling too exposed.

Most bearded dragons become sexually mature between 8-12 months.
